Since then we have managed to carry on through the pandemic, by scaling back, running sessions online and with enormous support from donations as well as charitable trusts and foundations.
Following the easing of lockdown restrictions we are growing back into what we used to be an even more besides, we now run the following activity-
Youth Theatre (5-18) 10 weekly classes with almost 200 members
New Writing and Performances- we put on 9 plays each year, commissioned from new writers for Strange Town’s young people at the Scottish Storytelling Centre and the Traverse Theatre
Young Company/Young Writers group (18-25) a weekly group with 20 members
Strange Town Touring Company- touring issue based plays to Edinburgh high schools
Strange Town Young Actors Agency- representing young talent in the professional acting world
Provide employment for 20 staff- directors, workshop leaders, designer, administrators and more
