About Strange Town

Established in 2008, Strange Town is an Edinburgh-based charity that uses theatre and the arts as a creative catalyst to nurture talent and increase access to opportunities in the arts for children and young people based in Edinburgh whatever their background or experience.

In an increasingly isolated world, our activities create a community, provide connection, the chance to make friendships, build skills, grow in confidence and develop a love of the arts that lasts a lifetime.

We offer theatre workshops, performance opportunities, film skills clubs, holiday programmes, a touring company and careers support for young actors.  We ensure everyone can participate; all activities are subsidised, and we offer bursaries for those struggling most.
