Strange Town would like to offer 10 young people from Leith (aged 13-18) the opportunity to assist with the staging of the company’s summer season of new plays.

Joining the production team as production assistants, those on work experience would be an integral part of a team supervised and led by the Creative Directors of Strange Town. The production assistants would be working in the Strange Town stage management workshop space on Friday afternoons (2pm-5pm) at Out of the Blue, helping create props and simple set, and would assist during production weeks at either the Traverse Theatre or the Scottish Storytelling Centre.

The project will commence with interviews mid March and will finish Mon 20th June 2016. If you are aged 13-18,  have an interest in theatre, live in Leith and would like to be considered for this opportunity, please contact Ruth Hollyman: ruth@strangetown.org.uk or call 0131 629 0292.

This project is funded by ASDA Carrier Bag Community Grants administered by Foundation Scotland, the Turtleton Trust and Princes Exchange.
