The Board and Management Team of Strange Town are delighted to announce the appointment of Richard Lewis as the new Chair of the Strange Town Board.
Richard is a freelance conductor, vocal coach, pianist, composer and lyricist. He is a permanent visiting lecturer to the Musical Theatre Department at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and a visiting lecturer at the Brisbane Conservatorium, Australia. He was Convener of the Culture and Sport Committee of the City of Edinburgh Council, and Festival and Events Champion, 2012-2017. He lives in Edinburgh and has a young family.

I myself grew up as an active participant in theatre and I am only too aware of how important early interaction with theatre can be for a child’s interest and participation in the performing arts. I look forward to helping steer the company post-pandemic and maintaining the high standards they’ve always been renowned for.’
