We were approached by Edinburgh based publishers Salamander Street to publish a couple of our plays in 2020.
Love Bites by Sam Siggs
Originally written and performed in 2012 we revived this piece in 2018 for our 10th anniversary.
Midsummer night’s eve in Edinburgh. A girl with wings and a plastic bow and arrow sits sobbing on a bench. It’s been a hard day. Love. Bites.

Balisong by Jennifer Adam
Commissioned by No Knives Better Lives and in partnership with Fast Forward this play toured schools multiple times and visited every local authority in Scotland and was performed as part of a double bill in our 10th Anniversary year.
“…And we watch American men play with knives on the internet
For entertainment…
Flicking, Spinning, Twisting…they say,
That, is a thing of beauty…”
Balisong is a story about Finlay Richards. A name that everyone at school knows. An average fifteen-year-old boy who just wants to be seen. But you won’t see Finn. You won’t ever meet him. Balisong is a play written for schools as part of the No Knives Better Lives Programme promoting positive and active citizenship among young people when they become aware of a pupil carrying a knife.
