Through our our Access Fund bursary, Strange Town is fully committed to maximising opportunities for everyone to participate in our classes.
Our Access Fund bursary helps those who may struggle to afford the fees for any of our termly classes or Holiday Projects.
When signing up for a session, your application form will ask if you wish to apply for a bursary for either a discounted or free place.
All decisions on applicants are made on a discretionary basis and all applications will be dealt with in complete confidence.
We will ask for you to state your annual household income and to provide a piece of supporting evidence to aid your application. Pieces of evidence could include:
- Payslip
- Tax return
- Full time student
- Bank Statement
- Income Support
- Income-based Job Seeker’s Allowance
- Any income related element of Employment and Support Allowance,
- Child Tax Credit,
- Working Tax Credit,
- Support under Part VI of Immigration and Asylum Act 1999,
- Universal Credit
This list is not exhaustive, and we will gladly consider alternative pieces of evidence.
Once we have received your application and supporting evidence, we will inform you of the outcome in advance of your first session.
