Create your own Murder Mystery (Previous Project)

Become the characters in your very own detective thriller. Use costume, props and imagination to set the scene of the crime, produce clues and question suspects. Capture what you create on film by shooting a teaser trailer to keep everyone guessing whodunnit.

£60 (NB bursaries giving discounted and free places are available) Booking will open later this year.
|What to Bring:||
Wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring a bottle of water. Please also bring a packed lunch and snacks unless you would prefer to buy from the Out of the Blue cafe.
Steph Smart: Director
Steph is an Acting and English graduate from Edinburgh Napier university. She has experience in a variety of acting styles and techniques, having performed in projects for both stage and screen. Her passions lie in directing and producing for both film and theatre, with several short films in post-production and a five star fringe show under her belt. She is in the process of setting up her own production company. She is currently directing Strange Town’s 14-18s youth theatre (Thursday group), and has also led workshops at Newcraighall and Wardie primary schools as part of the company’s after school drama outreach programme.
Ailis Paterson: Assistant
Ailis is an aspiring writer, director and facilitator. She has recently returned to Edinburgh after studying in Aberdeen where she was awarded an MA (Hons) degree in English and History. She has worked in theatre and venue management for five years with Aberdeen Performing Arts and Summerhall, and has recently moved to join the front of house team at the Royal Lyceum Theatre, Edinburgh. Following on from volunteering with youth theatre projects and script in hand new writing nights in Aberdeen, Ailis has been with Strange Town since March 2016 and as well as working with our youth theatre groups, she leads some of the company’s outreach workshops in schools.
